Shutout is a premium earplug brand that focuses on the younger generations because preserving the health of your hearing is easier than solving an active problem. The predominant goal of creating the packaging was to call and preserve the attention of the unusual audience of the product. Combining the chaos of being young and outgoing with the product still being marketable and presentable was the real challenge. For the brand’s elements, I used photographs with haftone masking textures and a lot of patterns for the background. Because of the busyness of these visuals, I picked simple, readable fonts so they stay consumable, yet true to the audience. For the packing’s usage, I wanted the consumers to keep utilizing it to keep their earplugs and tips inside, even after the first usage.
