Mutlu Makarna Packaging Designs by Orhan Irmak Tasarım

Istanbul-based packaging design agency Orhan Irmak Tasarım renewed the packaging for Mutlu Makarna, Turkey’s biggest pasta producer. Mutlu Makarna company exports its pasta production to more than 100 countries in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Turkic Republics.

In the renewed designs, a nostalgic charcoal-sketch-like illustration was used to highlight the production method that is inspired by the traditional stone mill. The white matte paper texture used in the background of the variant name and stone mill illustration emphasizes the artisanal flavor of Mutlu Makarna.

Brand main color navy blue was preserved and used in the regular pasta range. To reflect the high-quality perception of the products, navy blue was used on a matte texture. For specialty products, different background colors were used depending on the ingredient. The brown tone was preferred for whole-wheat pasta and yellow for egg pasta. As there are nearly 20 different pasta types, a large window was a necessity to show the pasta inside the packaging. Additionally, a legible variety name font were used for consumers to make their choice easily. Bon appétit to all the pasta lovers.
