Celebrating its 20th anniversary in creative packaging design, Orhan Irmak Tasarim was responsible for a comprehensive packaging architecture project for Sırma, one of Turkey’s most popular sparkling water brands.
In the flavored sparkling water category, almost all brands use colorful packaging to emphasize fruit flavors. This makes it difficult for brands to create a strong shelf impact and ensure integrity. For this reason, in our brand architecture, we first used our logo in a green circle in the middle of the packaging, which references the bubbles of sparkling water. Providing the brand block this way also freed us up for a strong reference to fruit flavors.
“We emphasized the fruit flavors with delicious fruit images spread throughout the packaging and background colors compatible with these images. We also covered these images with bubbles as if they were thrown into sparkling water. Thus, we aimed to visualize the pleasure that consumers will have in their drinking experience through packaging design.” says the design director of the agency Dr. Orhan Irmak.
Under Sırma Fruit Flavored Sparkling Waters, there are varieties such as black mulberry & blackcurrant, tangerine, apple, mango & pineapple, lemon, watermelon & strawberry flavors.
