Johnnie Walker is a giant in the whisky world, and every release of one of their limited edition bottles is a cause for celebration. This year, in honour of the fourth annual release of their Private Collection, Diageo are celebrating with a limited edition pack, manufactured by MW Luxury Packaging. The whisky for this year was dreamt up by Master Blender Jim Beveridge and bears the name “Mastery of Oak”.
MW’s pack, designed by Force Majeure, was inspired by both the oak barrels in which this complex blended whisky was aged, and the clean, classic lines of the bottle itself. Constructed using grey recycled board, the pack boasts a handmade rigid board substructure. It has been wrapped in bespoke four-colour print paper, micro-embossed to give the look and feel of raw wood. Elegant gold foil branding bearing the John Walker & Sons logo completes the exterior.
Inside, the bottle rests snugly in an immaculate cream PU leather fitment, and can be easily slipped from its recess with the use of a bespoke grosgrain ribbon attachment.
Less than 6,000 bottles of this special drink have been released worldwide – so if you want to get your hands on this latest release, and its magnificent MW pack, you’ll have to act fast.
