Ubavi is the symphony of a relationship filled with love. The project revolves around creating a Brand Identity and Protective Case Design for the Aranmula Kannadi (mirror). Made in the temple town of Aranmula, in the Southern part of India, the brand tells a story of a dream to the world.

BRANDING:
Ubavi’s logo is inspired from the reflective property of the mirror. The motif used on top is reflected at the bottom, letting the negative space depict the mirror. It was important to bring out the essence of years of lineage and craftsmanship. However, it was vital that it had the right balance between modern and traditional, as the target users are in their late 30’s. These are users who are learning and embracing their roots while changing with the needs of today.

PROTECTIVE CASE:
In contrast to the regular box packaging, the structure is designed to let the user interact with the mirror as they unbox it. The mechanism is such that the mirror slides out when the box is opened.
