It’s safe to say the kettle’s never cold at Nik and Carole. Our latest tea project takes a spoonful of magic from the past, to craft an iconic brand for Mazawattee Tea today.
Once the most famous tea company in England, the name Mazawattee was all but forgotten. An iconic brand of the 19th Century with an authentic blend of history and charm. The original founders of Mazawattee Tea Company were true entrepreneurs. Their understanding of the value of advertising and publicity led them to find exciting and unusual ways to promote the company.
One of the most bizarre images from their archives has inspired the new branding. Behind the faded black and white photograph is a wonderfully quirky story of how zebras were used to transport their teas to local grocers. A cup of Mazawattee tea literally stopped traffic back in their heyday; but no doubt deliveries made by a zebra-drawn carriage would have caused a bit of a stir.
The new branding transports you back to the golden age of Mazawattee teas, as they bring back a taste of the exotic to the 21st Century with the famous ‘The Cup that Cheers’. ‘It’s fantastic to take a brand back to its roots’ said Carole Haralambous, Managing Director at Nik and Carole.
