At restaurants, nightclubs, and karaoke bars, we often drink canned beverages. The problem is when there are lots of identical cans belonging to different people, so we cannot tell whose can is whose.

BUBBLE is an identifiable beverage can design solution. It works by enabling the consumer to mark their can with a unique 16-digit code. For example, the code might be their birthdate and gender. By pressing in the raised bubbles on the aluminum can, the code is set and the bubbles cannot be unpressed. This design concept won the 2018 Design Mark at Taiwan’s Golden Pin Concept Design Award.

What’s Unique?
The raised bubbles must be embossed onto the aluminum before the can is formed in manufacturing. This is a concept design, therefore the manufacturing process is not yet established.
