Influenced by market trends for high-grade ingredients and modern production methods, Wilsons Pet Foods approached Lawson Design to rebrand their aging identity and develop a set of packaging for their latest advances in modern Cold Pressed dog food.

With pet food an ever-growing and highly competitive market place, Wilsons needed to stand-out. The client brief was clearly defined – reflect the quality of the product, suggest the drama of wide-open spaces, the beauty of nature, and quality of life. To achieve this, an illustrative style was created, together with individually named and coloured product flavours, to achieve brand distinctions.

Lawson Design drew upon the landscapes of the British Isles. From the dramatic highlands of Scotland, the dark mountains of Wales and the lush countryside of England and Ireland. The result is a range of packaging that captivates the essence of nature and tranquillity, for pet and owner alike. The overall design scheme’s focus is not simply about the dog, but the wellbeing of both the owner and their best friend.
