Winemaker Peter Gönc is a rocker with soul and body. The music pieces are written on wooden barrels, hard rock music resonates everywhere – the idea of a musical wine series of his favourite songs was born: Starman, Time, Harvest Moon and Under Pressure (sparkling wine).
We dedicated the designed series of wine labels to the music that accompanied winemaker Gönc throughout his youth. Thus, individual label motives consist of different symbols in connection to his favorite songs and musicians.
Harvest Moon wine label contains a strong symbol, as a tribute to musician Neil Young. Starman wine label includes motives related to David Bowie, and handwritten lyrics from the Starman song. The Pink Floyd group also has its place in the series of wine labels, that special one is communicating the freedom that should be left free, just like overgrown plants.
A tribute to one of the greatest vocalists is linked to sparkling wine for a reason. The pressure of life and surroundings can be devastating, but love can be a good answer. Under Pressure, is a word play that simultaneously describes the content of a product and communicates the realities of society. The illustration on the label is drawn in the style of street graffiti, with an image of Freddie Mercury and a finger pointing Freddie to the floor. The illustration communicates the solution to all the hardships of life.
What’s Unique?
Because of his authentic rock soul and as a tribute to musical legends, winemaker Peter Gönc decided to on art direction, which is otherwise more common in the world of beer. With this, he entered a new era of craft winemaking, where innovative production and innovative branding go hand in hand.
