Chaap- Block printing toolkit

A Block Printing kit containing indigenous tools and materials used by craftsmen that reflect the vocational activities of Jaipur. It promotes the historical, social, and cultural influences on craft design and craft processes.

This kit will keep the user engaged with the craft as he learns how to carve the wooden block himself and take his ideas to a whole new level of communication and innovation. At present, many Block Print Art Kits, are very direct in terms of final output, using a templated format that often leaves very little room for exploration for the user. This kit will give the user the freedom to carve their own design.

‘Chaap’ is a Hindi word that means ‘impression’ in English.
