Pilinos Orange Wine

noon design + branding

Vasileos Irakleiou, Thessaloniki, Greece

We illustrated the labels of PILINOS wines with poppy flower images, featuring delicate petals, to symbolize the natural winemaking and traditional approach to producing orange wines. The use of cement tanks and natural yeast fermentation are the characteristics contributing to the production of Orange wines using ancient techniques.

Furthermore, the absence of preservatives and unfiltered bottling contributes to preserving the aromas and characteristics of the Assyrtiko and Viognier grape varieties. The brand name of the wines is designed in the Greek alphabet, and its pronunciation sounds fittingly like wine made in clay. The unique design, printed using the distinctive hot foil technique for each variety – gold for Assyrtiko and green for Viognier, is reminiscent of geometric decorations on ancient vessels and their historical origins.
