Black Moon – Samagon Packaging Design

Vantablack Studio

Mendoza, Capital, Mendoza, Argentina

This packaging project was inspired by the legend of baba Yaga.

Black Moon is a Samagon, a Russian high alcoholic spirit from Russia.

Babayaga feeds on the youth of those who defy the forest. Its hunger comes from an ancestral curse. Those who understand and respect the rituals of ancestors by leaving flower offerings in front of their hut, in empty jars, are immune to the black goose (she used them to track people in the forest and kidnap them). The flowers act as a symbol of respect and guarantee the protection of those who understand that of reciprocity with the supernatural.

The design of this bottle is inspired by the old dry law taverns, where the beverages were kept in different canning jars to hide them from the law.
