“Clandestino” (Clandestine) is a wine from the region of Dão – Portugal, every year our client produces a limited amount of wine bottles from a very small and very old family vineyard. This year he decided to surprise his own clients and offer them a two bottle pack.
This “brand” was designed thinking that in a near future it would be commercialized in small quantities and only for some selected wine shops.
The wine is called “Clandestino” (clandestine) because for years the vineyard was used only to produce wine for the family so it was kind of ritual every year and only family members knew about it. After some decades it became a family “ritual” and also a secret because wine production is very controlled by the both government and regional regulatory entities.
