Having worked with Rapha on a few projects already, we once again jumped at the chance to create something different and exciting with them for their classic glasses range. These custom-made tins were developed by both teams coming together, and taking inspiration from eyewear packaging from the early part of the 20th century. The description of this specific sunglasses range is as follows:

“The Rapha Classic Sunglasses reference the heritage of eyewear design, taking cues from classic casual styles, but using the modern materials of technical sports eyewear.”

… And the packaging for such a high-end sports brand had to look the part. The end result was a sleek looking tin, which had a recessed, inward fitting lid. Using black gloss lacquer, and printed inside and out with a screen-printed base the lid was then finished off with an embossed logo to the lid. An uncoated, white, card sleeve was then made to complete the packaging set, and was foil-blocked gloss black as well as being litho-printed one colour. Progress were also responsible for the collation of all the contents that were to go inside the finished product, as well as shipping internationally to all the Rapha cycle clubs and shops around the globe.
