The Prisma packaging for the Logitech M170 is like a two-piece jigsaw, catering to the Logitech customer living in our current fast-paced world dominated by frequent travelers. Shaping the outer shell in a way that converts itself into a functional mouse pad, where one side is the hard cover and the other a rubber sheet (open cell polystyrene) for accurate movement without any difficulty.
The main aim was to design a multi-functional packaging, that makes it a convenient and simple product for Logitech’s everyday user. Incorporating Logitech’s ‘People First’ approach, Prisma is bold and sleek capturing the essence and structure of Logitech’s existing visual approach.
The packaging shows how a strong sense of purpose, backed up with a bold brand identity. Simplification of text, color, and imagery was key to designing the packaging that would stand out in a busy retail environment. The colors act as a statement of intent, signalling the ambition of Logitech being Design-led, sustainable and future focused.
Shelf Display: Prisma is designed in a way that a seamless pattern is created when six individual units are placed together for shelf display. The smart design lets the customer view all the information he needs to know about the product at all times.
What’s Unique?
The packaging is not only spell bounding but is also functional. The packaging itself unfolding into a mouse pad makes this product unique. Also, the visuals of the packaging make this product stand out in an overcrowded display by creating a seamless pattern of Details about the product.
