The brand:
Khufu hair wax, a luxury hair wax inspired by the dark tale of Pharaoh Khufu. The outer packaging tells the story of this tale, through historically inspired illustrations.

Brand story:
Khufu, the second Ancient Egyptian pharaoh built towering pyramids and controlled gigantic armies but the thing he was most revered for during his lifetime was his hair. How did appear to sculpt and control it so effortlessly?

The true answer is a little darker than one might first believe, pharaoh Khufu had enlisted the greatest potion-maker in Egypt to create a unique hair-styling product for him, but once this miraculous hair wax had been created, the pharaoh committed a ruthless betrayal. He had the maker murdered and fed to the Nile crocodiles so that no other Egyptian could have such well-styled locks as he.

What’s Unique?
Although some artistic license has been used in for the brand story, the inspiration for this was a recent news story about how most pharaohs did use hair product: ‘Ancient Egyptian mummy hair unearthed with curls preserved after 3,000 years’.
