The most common thing that Ukrainians imagine if you said the word «Summer» to them will be a watermelon. «KAVUN» in Ukrainian. We have land of kavuns there — oblast. Our farmers even going to register «khesonskiy kavun» as a trademark with geographical indications. So we decided to add to our Sour Series new season sort with a juice of the watermelon to prolong summer vibes for our beer tasters.
The task for the new label was clear: to represent the main ingredient of the beer, implement new label to the series’ labels, but make it a bit different from other to mark the sort as limited season position. So I decided to take for the basis the main colors of watermelon’s peel — the first thing you see when you’re going to buy a kavun. Labels’ element I choose to make the connection to other labels is blots — stripes seem like a commonplace to me. The result satisfied me a lot — when I look at this visualization it makes me feel carefree and fresh. As summer days do.
