GardenGloss is an eco-minded start-up company that provides better quality gardening tools with competitive prices for their customers. Focusing on delivering reliable and accessible solutions, GardenGloss is here to help their customers designing a dream garden in whichever way.
Whether it is to hold down landscape fabric, to secure pipes, or to stabilise synthetic grass, this simple staple solution can help you with your desire. Similar to the different components that form a typical garden landscape – dots, lines, and shapes are the elements forming the basis of this delicate packaging design. The amalgamation of 6 different patterns is intended to mimic the garden texture. The landscape staple (in its actual size) can be seen submerged into the pattern which illustrates the intended usage of the tool. The contrast between the ever-changing landscape and the simplicity of the use for the staple also shows the intertwining relationship between them – no matter how complicated your garden landscape is, one needs only this simple solution. By combining different patterns together, it creates infinite supporting graphics for the pack, which is an easy design methodology for different product sizes, and potential upcoming rollouts.
Many businesses are now improvising with new ways of designing and producing their products, attempting to lessen their carbon and environmental footprint, while simultaneously saving on costs, so is GardenGloss To contribute to a more sustainable environment, the client was seeking an environmentally friendly packaging design solution for one of their flagship products. Achieving 100% plastic-free packaging design became one of the design challenges. This was not only about the material or printing method we chose, but also the look and feel of the packaging design I was asked to deliver. By screen printing on a 100% recyclable 2mm carton board, the packaging appears fresh, sharp, and modern, also delivers a professional and eco-friendly brand image to all its potential customers.
