Open Road Distilling Co.

Metropolitan Hospitality Group came to CF Napa to design their spirits brand – Open Road Distilling Co. The products would be featured in their restaurants’ back bar and craft cocktails but also needed to have the power to stand alone as a timeless spirits brand.

Inspired by the brand’s Washington, D.C. locale and badass ethos, CF Napa created a package and logo design for Open Road Distilling Co. with an Americana sensibility. CF Napa drew an eagle mid-flight, clutching a stalk of grain for the logo and main graphic element. The SKU-specific information was arranged on a separate label, allowing for the efficiency of using 1 screenprinted bottle for all spirits. The labels displayed the specialty name for each spirit as well as their own unique colors to assist with differentiation. Copper foil provided a final luxurious touch and was a subtle homage to the copper stills used to craft these premium spirits.
