REDESIGN OF MARQUES DE CASA CONCHA by Concha y Toro: The rebirth of a classic
Concha y Toro, the leading wine producer and exporter in Latin America, ranks among the top ten largest wine companies in the world. When they approached Jacomy & Mayne Studio, their mission was clear: to undertake a complete rebranding of one of their most premium and historic brands, Marques de Casa Concha. This brand is one of the cornerstones of Concha y Toro’s portfolio, renowned for its quality and revered for its heritage. With eleven distinct varieties, the brand has achieved global recognition, reaching consumers in over 100 countries. However, the time had come for Marques de Casa Concha to embark on a new journey, one that would merge its historical depth with a refreshed appeal for modern audiences.
A BIT OF HISTORY
Marques de Casa Concha dates back to 1718 when King Philip V of Spain granted the noble title of Marquis of Casa Concha to José Santiago Concha y Salvatierra. Years later, Don Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro, the founder of what is now known as Concha y Toro winery, became the 7th Marquis of Casa Concha. In his honor, the Marques de Casa Concha brand was launched in 1976.
OUR TASK
The brand needed a refresh and a feeling of youth, aiming to connect with a younger audience without losing the elegance and heritage that has defined it for so many years. Our work was to streamline and modernize the brand’s aesthetic, simplifying it while giving more prominence to the rich history behind his noble character.
This is what we did.
