It’s not every day a brand comes to Spacebar and tells us they want premium detergent powder packaging to be designed. Brief had only 3 pointers, 1. It will be a carton, 2. it MUST NOT have blue, or white or green as the primary colours and 3. it must look as premium as it is so no splashes, stacked fabrics, soap bubbles, or cameos.
At Spacebar, we were happy to oblige. It’s not everyday a client comes and tells us to design a detergent packaging that doesnt look a detergent packaging.
We pulled out our colour palettes and shortlisted a few colours. Got down to the sketch boards and scribbled some. We decided to break from fluid shapes to something more geometric to represent the science in the product, Kept the text as minimum as possible and the colours solid.
The result? A stunning duo that stands apart from all its competitors with its sharp lines and contrasting solid colours. Finally, a detergent pack that so believed in its product promise and consumer profile, that it bravely did away with all the ‘obvious’es.
