The idea was to create a pasta package that will show not only the Italian culinary but also it’s roots- the more traditional kitchen.

My product is the black pasta, that gains its color from the ink of the squid. I believe that this kind of pasta shows how luxury and tradition can come together.

The hand illustration design represent the ink and water combination in the ocean. The illustration originally was made of black ink, however, the transparency of it shows the role of the water.

Black pasta is very common in the Italian kitchen and usually served with seafood. My goal was to create a package that will invite people into the Italian kitchen and encourage them to try new things.

What’s Unique?
The uniqueness lays in the combination of the illustration and the actual pasta. The idea was not to sell only the package but also to give the costumer a sense of the product itself and its beauty.
