Background:
Catan is an impressive board game designed by Klaus Teuber. It has been a part of the gaming and entertainment industry for over two decades, and it comes with an array of extensions, spin-offs, editions, and expansions. It is available in over 39 languages and it has sold more than 27 million units world-wide since 1995. Approximately 20 million people spend time in the Catan universe on a regular basis.

Approach:
I created a new edition of Catan, Urbanite for its ever-growing family of entertainment products. My goal is to keep with Teuber’s vision to build a vast community, and to attract untapped younger audiences. The theme is set in an urban environment. The vibrant color palette adds more excitement. The various urban sources evoke connection and empathy. The game lets players explore a new city together.
