Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the market of spices in Uzbekistan had a necessity to change — before people used to sell spices in open markets, bazaars, which became impossible in pandemic conditions.
Now manufacturers had to ensure customers that their product is sterile and free from any kind of viruses. That is why Redder Spices asked us to develop a packaging for them.
Product of the Brand is monospices — single packs with just one type of a spice. Each spice has its own characteristics, special features, taste and flavor, which we had to display on the packaging design.
Main auditory of the Brand is women, that love cooking at home for their family. We supposed that bright colors and real photos of the spices will attract customers and motivate them to buy our product.
During the design process, we spent around 2 weeks taking original photos of all spices that Brand had — it was important, because we wanted to show the customer the product itself, so that anyone could easily identify what he will get inside the pack.
As a result, we created a design that can change the spice market — now spices can be sold more in supermarkets and less in bazaars, that are dangerous for people in pandemic period. Moreover, we also paid attention to the naming of the spices: in Uzbekistan some spices are well-known in Russian, while others — in Uzbek.
We provided the Brand with a research, that clarified which language should be focused on while we describe certain spices — that made the final design closer and understandable for the customer.
