Ajnala foods approached us to make a packaging design for Pudina Seasoning. The brief was to make something really colorful, bright, and something that emotionally also connects to the consumers. Pudina or Mint leaves are one of the most popular flavour enhancers in the world and especially in India, a very little quantity can also add a lot of freshness to your beverages or dishes. Mint leaves have a warm, fresh, aromatic, sweet flavor with a cool aftertaste, and are used in curries, casseroles, stews, chutney, or pesto to get a sweet flavor with a cool, refreshing aftertaste. Mint (pudina) is a staple in Indian cuisine, used for flavouring curries and other dishes.
In India, on most of the busy streets, you will always find a street vendor with a bunch of fresh mint leaves and fresh lemons, so that the commuters can have a quick stop and enjoy the super refreshing and relaxing drink of mint lemonade, which brings freshness and relives from fatigue or tiredness during the busy day. In this design, we have depicted the illustration of that same cart and a street vendor selling the best mint pudina lemonade. This illustration is done so the consumers are instantly reminded of these street shops and can remember the taste and connect emotionally with the packaging design.
We wanted to make it look vibrant and attractive like how the Indian truck drivers have fancy artwork on their backside to give the passing by vehicles a visual treat of art. We wanted the same visual appeal as it connects with the Indian consumer and the highlight of the design is the illustration of the traditional Pudina Lemonade stall.
Mint or Mentha is one of the oldest herbs widely used in global cuisines and it is highly prized for its innumerable therapeutic properties and uses. The divine Mint leaves are also valued as a mouth freshener since times immemorial for their amazing healing properties. As storing them is a little difficult, the best way is to sun dry them and make them into powder form so it can be stored for longer and that’s why the demand for Pudina seasoning is also growing very rapidly as people use it on regular basis consumption.
