This project involved creating a seasonal design for P Coffee, a coffee shop in Vietnam, to celebrate the holiday season at the end of 2023. The event happened during three holidays: Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year.
P Coffee opens in Da Nang City which belongs to the Middle Region experiencing intersections in the nation’s weather, culture, and economy. Thus, the concept design for the event is “Welcome Festivals in Da Nang”, highlighting the transition of seasons, particularly winter and spring.
Three key elements are presenting the design: festival, seasonal movement, and P Coffee.
Firstly, to capture the festival spirit, the key visual is the scene that depicts bears and dragons enjoying a spring outing at the Golden Bridge, one of the landmarks of Da Nang City.
Moreover, the dragon and bear are the central characters in this concept; the dragon represents the 2024 Lunar Year (Giap Thin and the word “Thin” means “dragon”), while the bear symbolizes P Coffee’s mascot.
One more interesting thing is the representation of four dragons—Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue—each symbolizing a different season: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Then, we utilized blue and pink colors combined with a gradient mesh grainy effect to create a seasonal movement from winter to spring.
With our festival-inspired seasonal design, P Coffee brings the atmosphere of festivals for customers and good experiences when hanging out with family and friends during special occasions.
