SA SHI SU SE SO is a part of Japanese alphabet but also represents five basic seasonings: sugar(Sa-to), salt(Shi-o), vinegar(Su), soy sauce(Seu-yu), miso(mi-So) or sauce(So-su). It is a play on words to remind you in which order to put in the condiments. Design was inspired by cherry blossom known as emblem flower of Tokyo and for its traditional iconic form. This symbolic shape unites all five condiments and becomes a full blossom.
