Create a launch campaign and a limited-edition fragrance line for Hard Rock, and design unique fragrance bottles for the chosen artists. I chose One OK Rock from Japan, and Bon Jovi from the US. One OK Rock is a Japanese Rock Band with a catchy and powerful chorus and relatable lyrics from their life experiences. They are always encouraging “Take What You Want.” They have a clearly more pop-sounding but still have the edge that is exclusive. They always remember their roots. Bon Jovi is an American Rock Band who mastered the art of stadium rock with the high energy, arena sound, and catchy choruses that everyone could sing along. They are one of the most recognizable and iconic bands today. The bottle designs were inspired by the artists’ popular albums and logos, using the elements that would represent their culture and band spirits.

One OK Rock’s fragrance is inspired by the album cover of 35xxxv and named after it. The shape and structure represent Japanese Temple’s architecture. The materials of wood and the glazed red finish remind me of traditional Japanese dining ware. Bon Jovi’s fragrance bottle the Rockin’ Roots is designed from the band’s logo. The design mainly uses titanium to create a solid metal look, which is a design element shown on many of their album covers. The packaging box and shopping bag follow a clean and sleek design style that would leave the surprise effect on the bottles. The bottles were created and rendered in 3D to provide better visuals and understandings of the initial designs.
