The main branding objective was to develop a new product category. Wafer squares were part of the From the Heart of the Factory line which we created for the Confectionary Factory “Kopernik”. Now they constitute a totally novel category-with its own and unique brand. It is a well-known product with an obscure history which has become the most important element of the new packaging.

What’s Unique?
The concept behind the packaging is a storytelling narrative (a story told) about the product. Wafer squares are baked in accordance with a unique recipe-it is the combination of a crispy wafer square with handmade cream and dessert chocolate. This artisanal nature of the product is reflected in graphic elements harking back to vintage product labels, with a strong typography and a recipe number placed on the packaging. The whole design conjures up an aura of mystery which perfectly dovetails with a place where Wafer Squares are baked-Our Wafer Workshop (factory).
