Mystic Valley is a bath & skin care brand. It creates different and unique formulas, using only natural, organic ingredients, in their products. The inspiration for the logo unit was taken from the basic premise of the product, the mix of different ingredients, coming together in a harmonious blend, using typographical intervention to embody the same. The ‘M’ in the word mark, gives a visual sense of a ‘Valley’.
A secondary monogram was developed that combines M & V that depicts mountains and a valley, offset by a circular shape that represents the sun—a symbol of life & healing, and at the same time, the moon—a symbol of beauty and enlightenment. These elements are seen across the entire product range, and are also the inspiration behind the product naming.
The visual language for the product packaging, uses stylised vector illustration of the main active ingredients in each product variant. These are set against a minimal depiction of a valley, resembling the ‘V’. Furthermore, to suggest a connection with nature and to evoke feelings of peace, serenity and mountain life, each variant has a special name with a unique tone of voice, and is associated with a time of day based on the ingredients. This is depicted by the label colour and the position of the sun or the moon within the design. Instead of the usual transparent or amber colour, the bottles and jars, have a unique frosted look with a light dusty pink colour. This allows the customers to get a feeling of what the consistency and colour of the product looks like inside, without compromising on the overall look & feel of the line.
