Reflecting the origin and the commitment to the environment

DYC is a Spanish whiskey manufacturer with years of experience in the sector. The company’s philosophy is based on the quality and on the commitment to the environment, a sense of purpose that the Spanish distillery is pursuing in its latest development.

To bring their commitment to life, they have created a limited edition: DYC Double Oak a double single malt aged in oak barrels. What gives this golden liquid all its excellence, exclusivity, and uniqueness is its commitment to the environment, 12,000 limited edition bottles made with reused materials, such as cork or glass, contributing to the reforest of 1,000 oak trees throughout Spain.

Our challenge was to shape a new packaging proposal for this special edition that would help to reflect its purpose. It was in the sinuous lines of the magnificent oak’s skin and its growth rings where we found the inspiration. We have designed the silk-screened label as well the box recalling the shape of a tree trunk, a way to connect the product to its natural origin.

We also have designed the handwritten and the metal ring of the bottle’s neck, a way to make consumers be carried away by the sensations and make them move towards the pure origin, towards the barrels where whiskey ages.

A set of small and accurate details that help to clearly reflect DYC’s purpose and give value to this limited edition.
