Made in India, the idea behind Freshleaf is to bring a perfectly crafted beverage for your favourite time of the day. Handpicked with love from the finest tea gardens of Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra and Dooars, Freahleaf is packed within hours of plucking by farmers.

Freshleaf’s mission is to brew happiness at home by reaching the end consumer as ethically and consciously as viable. Once the tea leaves are sourced, they are brought to the atelier in Ludhiana. These tea leaves are then blended with 100% natural ingredients to make a delectable concoction. Freshleaf currently offers 7 flavours, and their master blenders are constantly at work researching more options, harmonizing different notes and tastes.

For Freshleaf’s packaging, we worked with the brand’s existing logo and designed suitable visuals by way of custom illustrations to complement the already existing logomark.

Packaging
We created 3 distinct visual categories for the flavour profiles by segregating them through colors. The illustrations used across all boxes were simplified into almost geometrical representations that are striking, yet adaptable. The square arrangements give way to various forms of usage across many platforms and prove to be versatile. The information was divided into a grid like arrangement making it easy to read and understand. The strong colors and bold visuals are non traditional and establish the brand as one with a young energy but a classic taste.

The packaging language is a balance of new age elements like minimal vectors and unusual colors coupled with a traditional cuboid teabox. Each side of the box conveys important information (ingredients, brewing guide, the flavor notes, social responsibility, benefits, etc) about the brand through text and graphics.

Colors
Freshleaf’s color palette is as vibrant as the flavour profiles the brand offers. They are non traditional colors that are instantly relatable and leave an impression on each customer. The colors help establish that tea, is infact something that can be enjoyed by younger audiences too.

What’s Unique?
Freshleaf, a plastic neutral brand, constantly strives to be sustainable with their social and environmental responsibilities by reducing as much plastic as they can in their packaging. Freshleaf measures their plastic footprint, the total amount of which is donated to Repurpose Global, where they collect and recycle an equivalent of the plastic donated. The brand also fights climate change by further investing in environmental initiatives and supporting livelihoods of tea farming communities to restore an overall ecological balance.

A traditional product turned into something ‘new-age’ with a fresh feel is what sets Freshleaf apart from the various other tea brands available.
