The objective of this project was to choose a brand that is not known in the category of power tools, that does something different, and create a new look for it. Mrs. Meyers is a brand known for its home cleaning products in the USA which are made with plant-derived ingredients, essential oils, and other thoughtfully formulated ingredients.

It is said that home improvement can be a daunting task for women. Now more than ever, women are beginning to do more home improvement projects than men and I believe that with the right power tools most tasks can be taken on easily and efficiently.

I chose Mrs. Meyers to create a new line of power tools specifically designed for women which are easy to use, light in weight, and have soft-grip handles that perfectly fit smaller hands. These power tools would be available for sale at departmental stores like Target which would make it easily accessible for women.

What’s Unique?
I chose a design that was inspired by the 80’s retro style because the ’80s was a start to women being given more equal opportunities like men whether it was striding in their continued education or their advancement in political power.
