This project is a team effort. In addition to me, two more specialists (naming and logo development) worked on its creation.
I’ll start with the main thing – with the idea.
In this project, the customer wanted to move away from the traditional design of household chemicals. Household chemicals as a kitchen decoration — this idea formed the basis of the concept.
The main element of the design is a pattern inspired by the iconic part of the logo. The created pattern seems to “cut” the packaging into small pieces, symbolizing the disposer for which this product is intended.
The pattern is symmetrical, harmonious because cleaning is about creating order (both in the apartment and, sometimes, in the head).
The main color is dark green. Green is the color of freshness, purity and eco-friendliness
(the product even has a Safer Choice label), it is also the color of the category. But I gave this color a darker shade, since this product is more expensive than its competitors and needed a little differentiation from them.
In my projects, I try to pay special attention to the communication of the packaging and the buyer. I like to add small details. This project was no exception: when opening the box, the “tongue” hides a call to clean the disposer: “do your disposer good.”
Now a little bit about our adventures)
Since the product is new, I think, naturally, it could not do without tests, trials and errors.
