Amontillado C11

Coming from the amontillado classes being aged in the Santa Inés winery at the 18th-century San Pedro winery, it is a wine that combines the best of both aging processes: a very long biological process lasting ten years and at least another decade of oxidative aging, concentrating aromas and flavors.

This balance has cultivated a unique personality, making C11 an Amontillado celebrated by both the most experienced palates and those just delving into the art of sherry.

Amontillado C11 also owes its name to this union. C11 refers to the 11 winery buildings of Bodegas Barrero spread between Banda Playa and Trasbolsa, in the Barrio Bajo neighborhood of Sanlúcar. Its origins are also found in the fusion: Balbaína Alta and the Manzanilla Pasada Gabriela Oro solera.

The palate is upright, saline, and concentrated. Its gentle nose will reveal toasted, balsamic, and spicy notes, three attributes that make the experience truly unique.

To be different is extraordinary.
