Tarara Winery, out of Northern Virginia, commissioned Watermark Design to refresh their brand, starting with their labels. The new label design maintains required portions of the previous logo design, but reduces them, creating a clean, modern label. The wine below peeks through the label like looking down into a clear river. The die-cut running through the label reflects the waters of the river that the winery overlooks.
What’s Unique?
What sets this label apart as unique and ground-breaking is that the design requires a die that cuts through several points along the left leading edge on the label roll. The multiple gaps along this edge make it difficult for a standard labeler to pick up the label and apply it successfully. Together, through the partnership of Watermark Design, Niagara Label and Hunter Bottling, we were able to successfully apply the label, creating a truly unique wine-label for Tarara Winery.
