The Dalva brand, owned by the C. da Silva company, recognised since 1862 for its high quality Ports, has joined forces with the well-known Portuguese chef Vitor Matos to create a special edition of the 20 Years Tawny Port.
Vitor Matos has worked in Portugal and in Switzerland. Throughout his career, with almost 20 years old, he has been receiving several important distinctions, as the Michelin Stars and the Prix Chef’s de l’Avenir, amongst others.
For this special blend, which aims to pay homage to the delicacy of the wines produced by C. da Silva, to the chef and to his talent and mastery, Omdesign has created a bottle whose labels are all screen-printed and that includes a wooden bartop signed by Vitor Matos.
The packaging, developed and produced by the Portuguese agency, is highly differentiating, premium and clean. Decorated with details of the watercolour painting “Golden Landscapes” from the chef himself, painted on the exact same day this Tawny was created, it is a tribute to the wine and vineyard culture where this unique and unmatchable nectar is produced: Port wine, from Porto.
This special edition is the result of the sensory preferences of the chef. It also includes a small brochure containing a selection of recipes chosen by Vitor Matos, which are perfectly paired with Port and Douro wines.
This work combines the best of two worlds: the unrivalled quality of C. da Silva wines and the supreme talent of Vitor Matos cuisine. Omdesign gave a unique and differentiating touch to this packaging since has been able to bring together references of both parts into this edition.
