LEMONIER’S CASUALITY CONNECTING LABEL DESIGN AND THE SOUL OF A SPARKLING WINE

“Coincidence led Leopoldo Lemonier to Puente Genil. The coincidence made him fall in love with the land and its people. Chance has led us to create the first sparkling wines from Ribera del Genil”

This is how the legend on the label of this Brut Nature sparkling wine says. Bodegas Delgado presents the first sparkling wine produced in the Puente Genil area, uniting the arrival of the famous engineer Lemonier and his natural curiosity to discover and learn new things with the “curiosity” that has united the winery when it comes to researching and innovating to develop this new sparkling wine. This curiosity has led us to design a label where we make Leopoldo Lemonier the protagonist through the illustration on this packaging for wine.

A LABEL BASED ON ILLUSTRATION

The packaging design project for the wine “La Casualidad de Lemonier” has been created taking into account that although this is the first sparkling wine that Bodegas Delgado brings to the market, the range of wines will continue to grow. The design of the label is based on the figure of the mythical engineer Lemonier, about him, we have created a series of original illustrations always in attitudes related to curiosity about wine, thus seeking to arouse consumer curiosity. The style of the illustrations is type engraving “engraving” where the detail takes on importance creating a romantic engraving that places you and sets you in the mid-nineteenth century with the character. We unite character and wine with attitudes that reflect curiosity and concern for wine. In this sparkling wine label design, we’ve illustrated a Lemonier uncovering the wine label and looking at the bubbly “lees” inside the bottle.
