KRAUEL, A CENTURY OF HISTORY

The design of the label of this Krauel vermouth is a reflection of a history that already has almost a century, of mythological beings loaded with symbolism, of sailors and almost alchemical recipes that, saved for many years, are reborn even more strongly to tell us his legend.

Legends of a very difficult time, convulsive years that have marked their idiosyncrasy, of strong friendship and collaboration between families that has lasted to this day.
Nice story whose common thread is the first product to come onto the market from a historic winery that is being reborn.

VERMOUTH KRAUEL ESSENCE ON A LABEL

The restyling of the Krauel vermouth label has forced us to immerse ourselves in the history of the winery, reinterpreting the values of the labels of an old winery to our days without losing the essence of the brand.

Respect the work carried out by those old illustration artists and the master engravers of the old workshops who faithfully reproduced those original freehand pen drawings. A delicate and detailed work where the smallest details are collected.

We bring modernity to the graphic design of the label through the color that brings the “blue” used in lithography workshops for labels back into fashion. As well as work on the fonts and typographies used in the design that improve its image, its legibility and its reproduction. Lastly, we have carried out a rearrangement of design elements more in line with the way a current consumer understands and assimilates a jewel of a winery.

SUBTLENESS IN THE FINISH

For the preparation of this design we have chosen a Costellation Jade Intreccio ULTRA WS FSC oenological paper from Fedrigoni Selección de Manter Arconvert Ritrama. This honeycomb embossed paper provides finesse and elegance together with the iridescent pearlescent tone, helping to highlight the impression of the design on the label and providing the necessary subtlety and touch of modernity to the whole.

The delicate back label is printed in a single color on Acuarello Bianco FSC Felt Marked Fedrigoni Exclusive Paper by Manter Arconvert Ritrama, on its lined it bears the legend:

“More than two centuries ago, one of the largest wine industries in Spain flourished in the historic Malaga neighborhood of El Perchel. In the former Esquilache street was the winery of Carlos J. Krauel who aged some of the most distinguished wines in oak barrels. Now, the Krauel family recovers its old formulas such as the one used for this Vermouth whose flavor recalls the tradition of past times.”

The relief screen printing varnish has served us to clearly highlight the three important elements in the communication of the brand design, product name and variety that, together with the difference in tonal intensity in blue, stand out enough. To create the perfect set, the winery has selected this beautiful Bordeaux bottle in black glass Isis Zeus from Veralia on which the label fits perfectly and in which we finished dressing the packaging with a personalized capsule on the crown with the name of the winery .
