Barcel Mexico set itself the task of competing in a disruptive way in the snack market with a completely innovative product. From this objective WAPAS was born, a potato chip that offered a new experience thanks to its thick and crisp cut, its sharp curves and its unique and intense flavors. WAPAS was launched to the market under a relevant and attractive brand concept, hand in hand with a packaging design that managed to position the brand and the product in a truly successful way.

What’s Unique?
WAPAS played to win with its packaging design, by integrating the perfect graphic elements. The product is the wavy hero, and to highlight it, the waviness is present in different corners of the composition, through distinct components.

Illustrated doodles give each flavor a unique personality. From dancing cheeses and exploding salsa bottles to running corn kernels. Each achieves to elevate the flavor. The vibrant and intense colors manage to pop on the shelf through the matte print that broke with the established trends in Mexico’s market.

WAPAS is the outcome of a minimalist and clean, yet risky and innovative design, that resulted in one of the most important launches for Barcel in the last few years.
