Extrem Puro Extremadura is a very exclusive family-owned company that was created to produce, distribute and promote Iberian cured meats of the highest quality.
We developed for them a visual identity based on the idea that luxury does not lie in wealth or embellishment, but rather, as Coco Chanel said, on the absence of vulgarity. The values of simplicity, exclusivity and quality are the pillars of our design approach for Extrem. We stress those values through graphic elegance, quality materials and unusual printing methods. We enlisted the collaboration of typographer Andreu Balius for the lettering and Lavernia&Cienfuegos for the cellulose packaging.
The packaging of Extrem Puro Extremadura is a “rara avis” in its market, where luxury is still linked to an strident graphic style based on black, red and gold.
We wanted to dress this magnificient gourmet product as perfumes or jewelry are.
