what’s unique: Minimal branding, simple aesthetics and grey throughout

THE BRIEF:
When our customer, a high end men’s fashion accessories maker, came to us with the brief for a new kick-starter funded ‘kit’ watch brand, Instrmnt, we knew we could help. When they said it was all about minimal branding, simple aesthetics and grey throughout, we knew that the choice of materials would be the key to getting this right.

THE SOLUTION:
Box wrap was chosen as a new Fedrigoni uncoated stock with matching card insert, with matt white foil blocking to top and side of lid and both sides of the card. To match this, a cool pale grey foam with precision water-jet cut apertures for all items to view. Carefully positioned for maximum impact, there also needed to be a small lidded pocket for components and 2 ‘spare’ pockets on the reverse of the foam for optional extra watch straps, if ordered. All this needed to work within a maximum foam depth of 15mm as the box then needed to go in a mailer and sent under large letter size.

THE RESULT:
The combined result is a slick and smart pack that compliments the simple aesthetic of the product itself. As described by Instrmnt Director, Ross Baynham, “…your packaging has gone down amazingly – great work… everyone loves the box!”

Just goes to show that simple solutions really are sometimes the best!
